YMCA Derbyshire has been successful in becoming a delivery partner on the Money Sorted in D2N2 project. Money Sorted is a new innovative project working to tackle the poverty and social exclusion faced by the most disadvantaged in D2N2 area.
Advice Nottingham, the lead service, have brought together agencies from across the D2N2 area that will work together to achieve better outlooks for their communities. It is part of the Building Better Opportunities programme that is funded by the Big Lottery and the European Social Fund.
The project will provide a programme of person centred support and a range of bespoke interventions designed to enable people experiencing financial crisis and financial hardship to take control, build confidence and improve their money management skills to tackle their problems and move out of poverty and exclusion.
The project will commence to accept referrals as from January 3rd 2017.
