YMCA Key College is proud to launch ‘Project Alfie’, where we’re seeking local employers to partner with us and help create opportunities for our young people to experience the world of work.
What does being a Project Alfie partner mean?
• YMCA Key College students, accompanied and supported throughout by a member of staff, will spend up to a day in the work place.
• During the day, the employer will arrange for the students to meet with a variety of people, sharing details of their job role and career pathway. The aim is to broaden students horizons and boost their employability.
• The experience gained by students will contribute to the work they are completing for their City & Guilds qualification.
• The employer will have the opportunity to discuss a more formal work placement with the visiting students where there is a particular interest or opportunity.
