When asking Gillian’s thoughts she states: I remain privileged  to be CEO of YMCA Derbyshire. As a result of our supporters and dedicated staff we have experienced a great deal of growth over the past few years. To meet the needs of our young people we have increased our supported accommodation capacity and continued to develop our outstanding volunteer and work experience opportunities through Toyota UK, Derbyshire Wildlife Trust and our relationship with The Derbyshire High Sheriff.

To meet the educational needs of our young people in 2016 we upgraded two of our Training & Education Campuses in Derby and Chesterfield. We opened our first commercial café and training kitchen Claude’s at Marble Hall.  We also launched our new Children’s Services offer. Increasing our PPA provision, establishing a new Wraparound care and new Holiday Activity Clubs. All the time keeping in mind the need to enable the people we support to belong, contribute and thrive.
