We offer affordable childcare in Derby and Derbyshire. Including YMCA Stepping Stones Nursery, YMCA Y-Kidz breakfast, after school and school holiday clubs and “HAF” the Holiday Activities and Food Programme which provides free activity clubs and meals during school holidays.
Through YMCA Y-Kidz, we offer a range of excellent services in partnership with local schools. Our breakfast and after-school clubs, (wraparound care), operate in primary schools across Derby and Derbyshire, and offer a diverse range of activities. From arts and crafts to sports and games, all our activities nurture leadership skills, boost confidence, and encourage teamwork. We also run affordable School Holiday Clubs and deliver free HAF Holiday Clubs for those receiving means tested benefits.
Our staff are highly skilled, have received specialist training and have been working in partnership with Derbyshire primary schools for over ten years. All the Y-Kidz team hold up-to-date enhanced DBS, safeguarding and PREVENT certificates, so you can be assured that your child will be in safe hands.

We have highly skilled and specially trained staff at YMCA Y-Kidz; they are first aid trained, hold up-to-date Enhanced DBS, safeguarding and PREVENT certificates and possess numerous sporting and non-sporting qualifications.
Our team have been working in partnership with Derbyshire primary schools for over ten years, meaning they also have wide-ranging experience.
