Through YMCA Y-Kidz, we offer a range of excellent services in partnership with local schools. Our breakfast and after-school clubs (wraparound care), operate in primary schools across Derby and Derbyshire, and offer a diverse range of activities.
From arts and crafts to sports and games, all our activities nurture leadership skills, boost confidence and encourage teamwork.
Safe and Secure
All YMCA Y-Kidz Activity Leaders are fully DBS checked and trained in Safeguarding, PREVENT, First Aid, and Food Hygiene, ensuring every child enjoys a safe and supportive environment.

From sports and STEM to creative arts, our clubs encourage every child to stay active, explore new interests, and build confidence through fun, engaging, and age-appropriate experiences.

Free HAF Holiday Club
Our free HAF (Holiday Activity and Food) sessions run throughout the Easter, Summer and Christmas school holidays. The sessions help to keep children active and engaged over the break, whilst providing them with a healthy meal.

Yes. YMCA Y-Kidz accepts childcare vouchers, tax-free childcare. Links to the codes are on our website.
The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme aims to provide support for families in Derby by providing free activities and meals during school holidays and beyond.
To find out if your child is eligible for HAF please visit the Derby City Council website.
We accept children 4 – 11 years old (Foundation/Reception – Year 6) at YMCA Y-Kidz Clubs.

Yes, YMCA Y-Kidz are proud to be Ofsted registered.
Being Ofsted registered means that our childcare setting has been officially approved by the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted). This ensures we meet all the important requirements for safety, quality of care, and early education.
Our team has completed all the necessary background checks, and we’re regularly inspected to make sure we continue to provide the best possible care for your child.
