In 2023, Padley became part of the YMCA Derbyshire group, and is now operating as Padley@YMCA Derbyshire. This consolidates our efforts to combat homelessness and poverty in the city, giving more opportunities for individuals and families in need to access the support they need.
Our new Community Hub on Parcel Terrace in Derby is designed to be a vibrant centre, providing a variety of support for people at risk of homelessness, poverty, social isolation, and the cost-of-living crisis.
The hub provides open access to anyone that needs help, no appointments necessary, and it is free of charge.
Supporting organisations, such as Derby City Council, DWP and Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance can refer clients to us, or we can assess people for emergency food, clothing, and toiletry parcels on a case-by-case basis.
We provide basic needs such as food, clothing, toiletries, and shower, toilet, and laundry facilities.
People can have breakfast and lunch with us at the Community Hub.
