Support Assistant

  • To assist the support staff and beneficiaries in the daily sessions and activities.
  • To support the running of groups and activities in the hub.
  • To assist in making up food, clothing and toiletry parcels and handing them out to those in need.
  • Helping our beneficiary’s access food, clothing, toiletries, showers and toilets.
  • To signpost our beneficiaries to other services.

Padley Community Hub
Catering Assistant

  • Helping in the kitchen at the community hub.
  • Prepping and cooking meals for our beneficiaries.
  • Serving hot & cold drinks.
  • Organising the Emergency food parcel cupboards.
  • Preparing food for Padley@YMCA Derbyshire fundraising events.

Van Driver

  • Carry out checks on the Padley@YMCA Derbyshire van, reporting any issues, before they become critical.
  • Drive a Ford transit van around Derby, collect donations from our supporters. delivering donations to our charity partners.
  • Load safely any donations from our supporters and donors, transporting them to the Padley@YMCA Derbyshire Warehouse.
  • Unload and store safely any donations in the warehouse ready for processing.
  • Driving equipment for Padley@YMCA Derbyshire events to venues.

Drivers Mate

  • Helping the driver to carry out all checks on the Padley@YMCA Derbyshire van and reporting any issues, before they become critical.
  • Assist in the navigation of a Ford transit van around Derby.
  • Load safely any donations from our supporters and donors, transporting them to the Padley@YMCA Derbyshire Warehouse.
  • Unload and store safely any donations in the warehouse ready for processing.

Warehouse Assistant

  • Sorting food donations into product and date order.
  • Sorting goods that come in for the day centre, accommodation and charity shop.
  • Sorting damaged and unusable items to sell to the recycling company.

Housekeeping Assistant

  • Assist our housekeeping team to provide essential cleaning services at the YMCA Derbyshire Campus on London Road.
  • Prepare rooms for new residents.
  • Cleaning offices, kitchens and toilets.
  • Keeping the outdoor spaces clean and tidy.
WIlmorton Community Gardens

Wilmorton Community Gardens
Allotment Volunteer

  • Assist with maintaining the grounds, planting and harvesting fruit and veg.
  • Painting, repairing, or constructing garden structures as needed.
  • Removing litter and ensuring the space is clean and safe.

  • Assist our fundraising team at our key fundraising events throughout the year
  • Assist with selling fundraising tickets
  • Represent YMCA Derbyshire/Padley at fundraising events
