Trustee Duties

As a member of the Board of Trustees, you become both the trustee of a registered charity and director of a company limited by guarantee.

Along with colleagues on the Board, you will be responsible for making sure that the affairs of the charity are conducted legally and properly.

The Board is also responsible for ensuring effective governance, setting and monitoring the strategic direction and policies and general governance. Support and guidance will be given to help you learn and effectively undertake your role.

What we are looking for

Do you have industry related experience in risk and audit, marketing and communications,  safeguarding, finance or HR? If so we want to hear from you. Having read the trustee essentials guidance we welcome your application.

Alternatively if you do not have experience in these specialisms we still want to hear from you as we value kindness and empathy to the position of young people and communities.

Step 1

Step 2

Complete the online application form and submit with your CV.



Step 3

Informal conversation with CEO, followed by an interview with two members of our current trustee board to learn more about our values, the current board and expectations of trustees and then a final interview with the Chair.

Step 4

A Nominations Committee will consider all applications.

Step 5

Successful candidates will then be announced at the next Board meeting following approval.
