Our Childcare | Affordable, Quality Childcare

YMCA Stepping Stones Nursery St James Centre

Our YMCA Stepping Stones Nursery St James Centre was originally created to support the English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) learners within the local community. Today it is open to all families in the area looking for flexible childcare for children aged 12 weeks to 4 years. We offer both funded and fee-paying sessions, and our staff will work with you to create a package of childcare and early education that suits the needs of your family.

Our skilled team at the nursery have a wide range of early learning resources right at their fingertips, which helps all the children in our care to develop the skills they need for the next stage of their education. For parents who are studying in St James Centre with Derby College’s ESOL classes, we provide childcare on-site to enable them to focus on their studies with the peace of mind knowing that their children are well cared for. Ofsted graded us as Good at the last inspection in December 2016.
