Pentaxia, one of the UK’s leading advanced composites manufacturers, successfully hosted a charity football match on Friday, 2nd August. The event was organised to raise funds and awareness for YMCA Derbyshire, a charity dedicated to supporting young people and communities at risk of homelessness in Derby and Derbyshire.
The charity football match saw Pentaxia go up against Marpool Veterans FC and raised nearly £200, with all proceeds going directly to YMCA Derbyshire. These funds will help support the charity’s vital work in providing accommodation, education, and wellbeing services to those in need across Derbyshire.
“We are overwhelmed by the generosity and support shown by everyone who participated in and attended the event,” said Daniel Meakin, Composite Laminator at Pentaxia. “YMCA Derbyshire plays a crucial role in our community, and it is an honour to help them continue their incredible work. We couldn’t have done this without the commitment of our staff and the players.”
Gratitude from YMCA Derbyshire
YMCA Derbyshire expressed their heartfelt thanks to Pentaxia and the local community for their unwavering support. “We are incredibly grateful to Pentaxia for organising this event and to everyone who contributed,” said Catherine Bean, Fundraising and Marketing Manager at YMCA Derbyshire. “The funds raised will go a long way in helping us continue our mission to support young people and families in Derbyshire.”
