Have fun whilst fundraising, and change lives at the YMCA Derbyshire Ceilidh. Friday 30th January 2026 6.30pm – Midnight at The County Ground, Nottingham Road, Derby, DE21 6DA.

Join us for a night of music, dancing, and life-changing impact!

YMCA Derbyshire, together with Elizabeth Fothergill CBE HM Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire, will be hosting an unforgettable evening of traditional Scottish ceilidh dancing, delicious food, and great company.

What to Expect:

Live Music from ‘Speed the Plough’
Get your dancing shoes ready! Whether you’re a ceilidh regular or trying it for the first time, the brilliant local band Speed the Plough will guide you through the steps and keep you on the dancefloor all night.

Drinks Reception & Two-Course Meal
Enjoy a welcome drink on arrival, followed by a delicious two-course meal.

Auction & Raffle
We will be running a live auction and a raffle throughout the night to raise additional funds for changing the lives of the people we support.

Supporting YMCA Derbyshire
The funds raised from our event will enable YMCA Derbyshire to continue to provide essential services and support to those at risk of homelessness, poverty and social isolation, so we can ensure that those living with us and accessing our community services are supported to truly belong, contribute and thrive.

Dress Code:

Smart casual, with a touch of tartan if you so wish.
