Stuncroft donates interview clothing for our young people.

[/vc_column_text][ultimate_spacer height=”15″ height_on_mob_landscape=”15″ height_on_mob=”15″][vc_column_text]We were thrilled to receive a generous donation of suits and dresses from Stuncroft, a South Yorkshire clothing manufacturer. YMCA Derbyshire are on a mission to provide our young people with smart clothing, to empower them to feel confident in job interviews and progressing into the world of work.[/vc_column_text][ultimate_spacer height=”15″ height_on_mob_landscape=”15″ height_on_mob=”15″][vc_column_text]

Suited and booted (and good for the planet)

They supply a very broad range of customers across the Corporate Wear sector, contracts such as railway and airlines to beautifully individually tailored men’s made to measure garments, sold across Europe.

Russell from Stuncroft said:

“Stuncroft is pleased, even in these very tough times, to be able to assist the excellent work YMCA Derbyshire carries out.”

Stuncroft has become synonymous for both its quality of service and garments. The range of formal wear they have donated is extra special, as the fabrics used are made from recycled bottles![/vc_column_text][ultimate_spacer height=”15″ height_on_mob_landscape=”15″ height_on_mob=”15″][vc_column_text]

Stepping out into the world of work

[/vc_column_text][ultimate_spacer height=”15″ height_on_mob_landscape=”15″ height_on_mob=”15″][vc_column_text]We don’t just support our residents and students in their time of need, but give them the tools to build their future when they move on from our YMCA housing or graduate from YMCA Key College. For the majority of young people this means finding a job.

Jon YMCA’s Employability Coach said:

“There are many barriers along the road of gaining employment. Having a smart outfit to boost your confidence in an interview might seem insignificant to some, however interview clothing is something that would not be accessible for our young people without the kind donations from businesses like Stuncroft.”

Dan, an off-site resident who has worked closely with our Employability Coach, said:

“I attended a couple of workshops on CV writing, interview techniques and building confidence and had some individual coaching around interviews.

After a couple of interviews, I got a job – all the hard work was worthwhile. Now I have a sense of purpose and I feel more optimistic about my future. I’ve moved onto independent living because of my job and I love it.”[/vc_column_text][ultimate_spacer height=”15″ height_on_mob_landscape=”15″ height_on_mob=”15″][vc_column_text]

How can you help?

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]YMCA Derbyshire are accepting donations of smart interview clothing and shoes. We are curating a wardrobe of outfits so that all our young people get the chance to feel good about themselves on their interview days. We hope that this will lead to success in interviews and taking that first step into the working world. Please get in touch below to arrange a donation.

Thank you Stuncroft for the much needed donation we are so grateful![/vc_column_text][ultimate_spacer height=”15″ height_on_mob_landscape=”15″ height_on_mob=”15″][ninja_form id=”9″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
